Any engine out job is going to incur a reasonable level of cost. Given where you are have you popped round to Zen, in the first instance to get some confirmation that it is what you think it is?

Price will vary quite a bit according to where you have it done, how easy (or otherwise) your engine is to remove and whether any other remedial work and parts prove to be necessary as the job is being done.

Probably should figure on around eight hours workshop time. Cost of the gaskets varies a bit on the age of the car, and also of course whether you're talking about replacing both of them or just one side.

If you're not 100% sure it is the gasket, best first option is to have Paul look at it and go from there.
