Splitting a short block
does anyone have a list of tools needed to split a short block, or a guide at all? clearly going to need something to pull the clips/pins out and a hammer anything else?
and how do you actually split the block into 2?

remove all pumps, oil water ect.. knock sensor, pretty much anything on it.
remove gudgeon pin clips and knock the gudgeon pins out, i normally do this from the opposite cylinder.
remove flywheel
remove crank pully and sprocket
make sure ALL casing bolts are removed before even atempting to split, theres more then you think, most require a double hex 14 or 12mm
prise it apart however you wish without causing damage to surfaces i recommed a rubber mallet too.
