Thumbs up Exhaust Note

Hi everyone,
The other day i was walking to my local shops and a scooby drove past on high boost and the car sounded like a drag car, it was so loud! I didnt get chance to see what Exhaust it had, but i decided i want to make mine super loud.

I have an 95 WRX Classic JDM. The Exhaust i have on it is an Afterburner Vortex backbox with an Afterburner De-cat centre section, 2.5". Standard downpipe at the mo, but will be getting the Afterburner de-cat downpipe after the MOT.

Any suggestions on how i can achieve this sound? Headers? Up-pipe? Induction?

P.S. i have an Apexi panel filter on the car at the mo...

Cheers Andy

A full 3" turbo back system will make it loud. sure there are others on here that will be able to tell u what make are best i know the blitz sounds nice. many people like to keep the en equal headers to keep the burble noise scoobys' are famous for but if u want a motorbike kind of sound u can get equal length headers.

Also, on my Type R I had a TSL Turbo back 76mm Pulse Extraction push fit system with no cat or resonators.

I also had their headers and up pipe. All fitted when I had my fully forged engine built. It was very very loud.

Was a few years ago and now that I am a bit older (but no wiser) it would be too loud for me if I still had the car....

I had t 2.5 system fitted only due to the stardard down-pipe. Will a 2.5 system hinder me me in the future?

Also where is a good place to get headers?

Cheers all.
