Broken altenator mounting bolt
I'm not having a good run at the moment with the car!
The bolt that attaches the alternator to the tensioner bracket/bolt snapped where it goes into the alternator (bottom left threaded into alternator). I replaced this with a standard off the shelf bolt which then snapped again after 3 days!
It's currently held on with a crappy mild steel bolt (all the RAC man had) until the proper bolt arrives so fingers crossed!
Anybody else had this and is it an underlying problem that's caused it?

Weirdly I've had my alternator off more than anything on my car but not had any problems with anything mounting it really.....maybe I'm just a fanny when I tension them up!!

I loosen the top through bar and the through bolt on the adjustor, Tighten the belt up on the adjusting belt the torque the two bolts up tight. The original bolt snapped without warning and without being altered (Subaru had replaced the AC pump within 4 months but looks like the belt was the same so not sure if they had the altenator off).
