Default think the scoob is dead :(

oil temp sky high and wont go down even when idleing, major knocking noise coming from somewhere more like a tapping actully but really loud.
is this it for my engine? any ideas what it is?

I have just got her back on the road after a falty maf senser caused her to run lean could this have caused the problem even tho there is a new maf sensor and the hesatation has gone?

cheeers

oil temp wont go down even at idle, its supposed to maintain a temp,so if its at 90 degress C it will be all day long (unless ragging it etc)

oil PRESSURE is where you will get your comparisons from, if its at 1 bar at idle then sounds like big ends etc etc

As Alyn at AS says - big end. Expect a minimum of £1400.00 + VAT to fix it.

Myles the Great?, is that you ? I thought you'd gone Evo, or am I thinking of someone else ??
