Default Lacking power!!

Hey,

Just recently got my first classic shape scooby 1999, 2.0L turbo uk model. Yesterday i had a kind of pop sound from drivers side engine and now lacks power and is using a lot more fuel, turbo still works tho hardly any boost in 1st or 2nd gear, and when reving from idle i cant hear the BOV as much as i use too. Could this be a gasket or a vacum line? I know very little about these cars if any one wishes to come over and have a look just send me a message im in Essex..

Any help would be great

Cheers guys

Chris.

Have you checked under the bonnet to see if any hoses have come off?
Does the car still sound normal, ie no nasty rattles etc?

Default lacking power

The only rattle i have is coming from the power steering pump which is going to get changed soon, other than that no, it has a full stainless turbo back exhaust, light weight flyweheel and HKS air filter and HKS BOV if that any help.. Could it be the spark plugs or coil packs?

quick update, i found what looks like a vacum pipe hanging down, i found out that it connects to the underside of the large plastic ribbed pipe for the air intake, where this pipe connects onto the big ribbed pipe has split, so got a new one on order now, but this has not solved my lack of power ( done a temp fix on pipe) but have noticed that when not in gear and give it a rev my boost gauge will not go over 0 psi but drops back done to around -0.4 psi..

what pipes do i need to check for damage?
