Default Changing the downpipe

Hi folks,

I started trying to get my downpipe off today and ran out of light. Is there any tricks?

I got intercooler off and then 3 of the 6 heat shield bolts on the turbo off before it got too dark.

Will a newage STI ppp sports cat fit a bugeye wrx?

What would a garage charge for this?

Cheers

no tricks just take your time and don't round any nuts off, yes a ppp down pipe will fit as long as it is a single scroll type, have you already got one?

the first time doing one, should only take a couple of hours depending if you can get the bolt/nuts undone.

1.5hours give or take a few bust knuckles.

It depends on the challanging nuts & bolts.

Get plenty liquid bolt loosener on those buggers frst.

Liberally soak your nuts overnight in WD40

It costs about £50 - £80 for a pro to do it and normally takes 45 minutes or so.

mmm, don't think mrs will approve, you might need to bray one off if the nuts are a little tight
