Hey there.

I am about to sort my calipers out and bought myself some 5.1 dot. So was goinb to change brake fluid and whilst i am there clutch. But what is the best way for the clutch fluid to be done?

I sort of know about brake fluid but would like some advice on ways to do it? Thanks guys

Take the slave cylinder off, push the piston in by hand and use a g-clamp to hold it in the cylinder, bleed as normal with the bleed nipple at the highest point.

It's a good idea to take the cyl off the car to get the bleed nipple to the highest point - then it's possible to purge any air that might be trapped in the cylinder.

When it's on the car, bolted to the gearbox, the bleed nipple is not the highest point on the cylinder

you could open nipple and gravity bleed it till fresh fluid is through or pump pedal same as brakes its up to you.it will be alot quicker using pedal though and make sure you give the flexi a waggle as well just to make sure there is no small air bubbles trapped in it.

Hes only changing the fluid so there shouldn't be any air in there anyway.what your saying is spot on but you can still do it fine and get a perfect pedal without the hassle of taking it off etc..
