Question Bung in cylinder number 3

Evening all
Right, I've got oil pressure and temp gauges to fit to my 98 clasic uk turbo 2000 wagon. I've got all the wiring sorted, and a flexipipe adaptor for the sender units is on order, so it's all good. The adaptor is supposed to screw into the the spare port on cylinder number 3.

But due to being a total novice under the bonnet, I'm not sure which cylinder is number 3 and where about the bung is located. I've been told I have to remove the intercooler to get at it?

So can anyone tell me exactly where it is and how to get at it?

Thanks for your time.
RGDS.
Dave.

Yes it's at the rear of the driver's side of the engine.
You can JUST see it down between the turbo to inlet pipe and the intercooler. It is about 25mm across with an 8mm hex socket on the centre. If you remove the intercooler, it is more visble. To remove it, you need a long 8mm hex drive, I bought a T-ended one specially, located it in the bung and put a ring spanner on the T.

Fitting the sender can be a bit tricky as it's STILL not that accessible: try blu-tack.

Moving the intercooler will make things a lot easier for you. The above post pretty much sums up how to remove it but be ready to use some muscle to free it up!
