Default Exhaust Baffle

Happy new year all. Will be doing a track day in Feb and have been told my car will be too loud to pass the db test. Any ideas where i can get an exhaust baffle from? Have looked on ebay but they all seem to be for motor bikes.
Thanx

we used wire wool shuved up the back box to pass the scrutineers , once on the rally stage it used to just get blown back out. just an idea. probably be safer to make a baffle tho.

Looking at the hayward & scott bung - cant imagine it would quieten your car down by much, due to the diameter - the ones advertised on ebay look exactly like the ones scoobyworld sell and will definetley quieten your exhaut note.

Does anyone have any pics of one of these bungs fitted and then out of their exhaust. It's a great idea which I'm probably going to have to do in the near future, but I'm not at all keen on drilling a hole in the exhaust as it's surely going to be visable when you don't have the bung in place ??

Not really, the hole is only between 8-10mm and you cant really see it when the bung is removed. The bung scoobyworld sell has 2 holes ,but you only need to use 1 and that keeps it secure via the small bolt.
Will take some snaps of mine tommorrow and post up.

mwinter it will make a big difference in the sound of your exhaust mine sounds like a standard prodrive system with the bung in - quite subtle.

It will also make a difference too when you drive it - car wont pull as strongly as before due to having the tailpipe restricted.Your car wont be slow ,but you will notice the difference imho.

Yeah i thought it might, its only going to be used for the track day as they are apparently quite **** about exhaust noise at Bedford.
