Default Removing rev counter needle

I changed the bulbs in my dash, cheated and removed the facia cover and speedo dial/rev counter dial etc rather than remove the whole clock unit, anyhoo, had to remove the speedo and rev counter needles, not a problem, changed the bulbs, which look cool, but when i put the rev counter needle on i couldnt get it synced up for some reason, put it on pointing at 0 but it went highter or lower when it returned on its own steam, now,i managed to get it to syn but from 0 to 1 its very slow, once above 2k its fine, but takes a while for the needle to drop (not the engine revs just the needle)
weird one, just thought someone may know,im glad i got it working so can live with it as is,just weird

yup,on a 95 classic, alot easier than removing the whole clock cluster aligning the manual speedo cable etc, took 15 mins the way i did it compared to the 2 hrs the other way

you have to, to get to the bulbs, its as if i was changing the dials for white dials etc but i changed the bulbs (they are directly behind the dials) so the needles have to come off,as i say,i got it working againmjust weird as i put it back on the same way i took it off, same fro the speedo needle, which works fine

did you press the needle on from directly facing down or from 0 on the clocks.

At 1st i did,but it then shot round to 5k but the needle had lots of spring in it,but aftr about the 20th attempt the needle is very stiff,to move by hand so the gadgets behind the facia ouldnt move it either,so after about the 30th attempt i got it working albeit stiff from 0 -1k and from 1k down to0,when you turn the ignition off it creeps down from 1k to 0,but above 1k its fine, revs to 7k redline same time the limiter hits so im chuffed its working alebit not as good as it could from 0-1k or from 1k down to 0 but i suppose you dont stare at the neeedle all the time ha ha ha just wondered if anyone else had this issue,as if i were to change the facia to white dials im sure loads have and if they had issues ?
