Default MY03 STI oil in TMIC

Is oil in the TMIC on a newage STI a problem?

What causes it and can it cause any issues. Nothing excessive just a small amount.

That is quite normal, and are coming from the crankcase (and rocker cover) venting. It's not good for your engine though! But are so due to emissions regualtions.
Best from air/fuel mixture is to vent to atmosphere, but this can lead to higher gas pressure in crankcase and under the rocker covers. To use a catch tank with evacuation to inlet keeps crankcase gas free but (re)introduces unburnable exhaust gases and to some extent oil-vapor into turbo/IC and engine.
