It will fit and doesn't have the pre-cat, but there's no provision for the EGT sensor that's fitted to the 2003 WRX

I fitted an aftermarket uppipe on my wrx it has a boss for egt sensor but I just put a bolt in it. Would it be better to fit the sensor from my original uppipe or does it not matter.

There is a limit table defined in the standard WRX ecu that will default the car into failsafe mode if the temperature value is exceeded. (1049 degrees as standard)

It shouldn't come into play if everything else is OK, but i'd rather have a CEL as a warning, than possibly drop an exhaust valve

Only issue will be the condition of a 13 year old part that gets quite heat stressed.
Heat shields coming away/rubbing or the bellows join corroding in two aren't unknown.
I'd recommend looking for the newest up-pipe from an STi at a breakers.
