Is this mod package a good deal?
Hi,
Power Engineering in Uxbridge, near where I live, have quoted the following mods package to me for £1,600 inc VAT for my 02 standard WRX bug eye:
Full Japspeed sports CAT exhaust system
K&N panel filter
EcuTek licence
Remap using rolling road
All labour
Is this a good deal?
Does anyone know of any other modders in the North West London / Middlesex area or thereabouts that I could get a competitive quote from?
Cheers,
Nick.

Looks a good deal, the only thing(s) I would want to add are a upratedfuel pump a must, and maybe a adjustable fuel pressre regulator such as Aerospace or similar. Not a FSE item!!!

They're a good crew that know what they're doing with tuning cars mate - been in the game a long time now and turned out some serious motors over the years
If I remember rightly their early years were heavily involved with fords / cossies but that was some time ago now.

That sounds like a very Prodrive PPP price And did they mention what the expected power output is likely to be? I'm surprised they didn't mention an uprated fuel pump?
You should be able to pick up a very decent uppipe and single sports cat full exhaust system + Panel filter and Walbro fuel pump for c. £500-£600. If you have an EcuTek remap from a dealer that's anything from £550-£650+VAT. If you go for an Open Source remap it's about £350+VAT.

I used to use this gargae and travel from birmingham with my old cossie, good reuputation but not the cheapest. As already mentioned fit the exhaust and bits yourself or find a sn member close by and then arrange a remap will save you a fair whack.

Yes it did seem a bit step to me and link to the group buy makes it seem worse. They mentioned that it would get the car up to around 285 BHP.
Can anyone recommend any other modders to approach in my area, I do not have the time or confidence to do the exhaust change myself.
Cheers,
Nick.

uppipes are an absolute bum hole to change but so im told, offer quicker turbo spool up, due to the original units having a small cat inside them. Get simon to map your car nick, he knows these little beauties like the back of his hand!! and he can carry out the engine light check delete that replacing the uppipe will bring on. plus he will map the car to how you want it to perform, not just for max power. JGM all the way.
