Default boosting problems

hi im stuck so any help would be appreciated, im having boosting problems when i turn up the boost on my boost controller the car shudders when it hits around 4000 revs and if i really push it hard it seems to make a pop from the engine and cut out for a split second! ive just had a full service from subaru yesterday to see if that would sort it out but it hasn't, any idea where i would go from here? or what it could be?

Ah the joys of a boost controller and an ecu that wont let you blow your engine up....
Can we have more info like what year and model car you have?

So its had a fair bit done to it for it to get to 305bhp, new (bigger) turbo, does it have an aftermarket ecu?
