Default Exhaust advice (classic)

I've just bought a nice clean MY99 Classic that's basically standard, however it has an unknown aftermarket exhaust on there that I want to remove ASAP

For a start it's too loud for my liking and the 5" tailpipe is just too big for me, so it has to go for something more discreet.

What I'm looking for is advice on what exhaust system to replace it with, that's not excessively loud, but still has a nice burble and has a more sensible tailpipe?

So, suggestions please, with pics & vids if possible...

Miltek Catback or H+S with 3" rolled tailpipe is quite discreet and not too loud

My vote would go to a TSL group N, not loud, but it sounds IMHO orgasmic on full chat.

the early ones are 3.5" and the later ones are 4", if getting a second hand one get one with the swappable hanger to fit classics and blobs

evening Tony

not got many pics yet, but there are a couple here >>> https://www.scoobynet.com/garage/199...341-RichD.html

4" is about as large as I'd want and probably prefer something smaller TBH

H&S original scoobysport system on mine now, I am really pleased with it and I have sampled a fair few exhausts on my scoobs.

finally got around to fitting the new exhaust yesterday and I cannot believe the difference!

it turns out that the exhaust that was fitted was a Cobra system, which are renowned for being loud, but the H&S is just so quiet in comparison, it took me by surprise when I started it up and it's quieter than I was expecting

old vs new >>>

the old one looks ridiculous when you see it next to the H&S, I'm glad that's gone, but it did sound good when you were in the mood!
