Default car hesitating on full boost

hi some help please...

my 96 wagon wrx is holding back on full boost. She pulls then hold back then pulls... etc.. Have put it in my local garage and they cant find anything... it was intermittent but the last few days its all the time!!

its has a FMIC, induction kit and a 3'' full decat...

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you put new fuel in that happened to conincide with those "last few days". You just might have got unlucky with a stale batch, maybe? If you can wait to get it low again, then fill up with a your mapped fuel, then do an ECU reset... it may just clear the associated bad, retarded timing.

Costs nothing extra at this stage, so prob worth trying it...

dont think its that mate... filled up today... but has done this a couple of times before... but the past 4 days its all the time.... was thinking somthing was on the way out then gone compleetly if u no what i mean..... coil packs or somthing???????

Coil packs could well have boken down - the symptoms are certainly typical of weak/no spark i.e. holding back (lack of power obviously).

mine is doing the same booked it in last week and the garage said i have an airleak in 2 of my pipes, so they changed the pipes and £350 pound later its still doing it! now there saying i have a faulty boost controller it only does it when i boost up in 4-5 gear!

yep as above, check your coil packs... can you hear your boost solenoid ticking? or i know its a daft question but have you had your car remapped to suit your current mods
