Default new car with a couple of puzzling issues

Hi i have recently purchased a 99 uk 2000 saloon, the car has 85k with history and is clean apart from a dent on the wing and bonnet, i paid £1900 for it with a years test and 6 months tax,

the only down side is the fuel consumption if i drive staedy im still only gettin 20-25 mles to £10 worth of fuel, is this normal???

also upon closer inspection the car has yellow injectors a bleed valve (has guage) and decat the car seems to go right past 20 psi and hits cut off in 5 th gear are these normal upgrades ???

bleed valve such as a dawes device are manual boost controller. very crude way to get cheap power upgrade. 20 PSI sounds a bit high. boost cut is about right about 1.1 - 1.2 bar. Do you have to feather the throttle in 5th?

With the decat and freer flowing exhaust, i would be looking at getting a boost controller inside the car (e.g. GReddy). get it rigged up properly though.

think yellow injectors are 440s and the 99 model uk car had 440s as standard.

Get the boost back down to about 14 psi until you know where you are with it, has it been mapped? You may not have your new car for much longer. You'll need to fond out exactly what's been done, if your getting fuel cut then something isn't right, if the boost has been upped by the bleed valve only your probley already on borrowed time.
