Default milage.

I may have to "loose" a thousand miles from my speedo for insurance reasons I know this might be a bit illegal but can anyone help?

Not the best of places to post that sort of a request tbh....

Guess you could try an auto electrician, but I doubt there are many that would be willing to do something like that.

Its illegal to start with, clocking motors is really frowned upon, anyway just be truthful with your insurance and they probably wont hike your insurance up anyway
Oh and its lose as in lost not loose as in trousers falling down

i really wouldn,t go down that route fella but if your going to why not borrow/buy some lower mileage ones then when you have done whatever you are needing to do it for change them back so your car is still genuine.

My wife dosnt seem to understand the concept of going round corners "the front wheels went through the gate but the back wheels didnt" DOH!!!!
Hence there is a nasty dent/scratch down the side of my lovely car. It gets worse, Ive checked my insurance docs and found ive exceeded my anual mileage allowance. DOH! DOH! DOH!.
Advice would be helpful.

As above, being honest with your insurer is the way forward. Trying to fiddle your odometer is not the way to go.
