My car has developed a clicking noise on the way home from work tonight, the noise is coming from behind the dash and sounds like a relay, its not constant it does it about every 2 minutes, the car is driving normal and theres no cel light or other warning lamps, everything is still working ok, wipers/lights/heater/horn/windows/ect, i've never heard it before tonight, it still makes the noise even if the engine is off but the ignition is on and the heater/lights/ect are all switched off.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Ye does it even when everything is off including the engine just the ignition in possition 2, it sounds like the click you get from the heated rear screen relay but louder, just click click then nothing for 2 minutes when it does it again.

Its too dark to investigate tonight, but i put my finger on each of the relays next to the fuses at the alarm key pad and there was no pulse from any of them, it sounds t be higher up like behind the instrument cluster !
