Lots and lots of engine builders have differnet theories.

Has the builder said to keep the same oil for 1k miles, because on running in oil it will use it quick, some change the oil after 50-100 miles.....do a further few hundred and change it again.

Some Even have boost running through the car within 50 miles too and on fully synth.

You need to follow the advice of the builder, because if you don't and it **** up, you won't have a pot to p1ss in.

What im saying is, don't ideally listen to everyone on here, im sure the bottom is under warranty??? If so, then you need to get specific advice on who built it.

from what i know your supposed to change oil at 500 miles at increase rpm and boost slightly. not really sure there is so many methods to do it best to wait for one of the tuners to come and advice you.

i read an article once that said you should put the car through its paces in some weird progressive stage and it allows the car to be running in a few hours but DONT DO THAT im sure some one will be here to help shortley

You should use a mineral oil for running in as it provides less lubrication, meaning the engine wears in quicker. Synthetic oils for bedding in can cause the cylinders to become glazed as well. This is a very good oil for running

Millers Oils CRO 10w-40 Engine Oil

Normally it's best to change it at 50-100 miles, then 250, then 500 and the good stuff goes in at 1000.

Cheers

When you say "bottom end" were the pistons changed/new rings/re-bore or just new bearings/crank? Bearings take very little bedding-in, more so with rings and bore. If it were just bearings, I'd not use a specific running-in oil.
