Default Exhausts for Dummies

I have an H+S back box on my classic wagon, Im considering going to a 2 1/2' decat system from turbo back. Silly Q -Are the sections standard lengths +flanges between different companies etc or the oem parts. (in case i need to bolt the centre section back in for MOT etc) ?
ANy advice or tips on how difficult this would be to have a crack at myself?
Cheers

Most of the sections come as a standard length depending on your model, ie: classics from 1992 -2000 all exhaust sections will fit , newage 2001 - 2007 will fit ,exceptions being the back boxes which will fit newage or classic - just rotate middle hangar 180 degrees or you can cut away.
