Default t into pipe on inlet

any pictures folks of best place to fit boost pipe for boost gauge on newage (02) sti manifold please ? there seems to be a bronze coloured L pipe(metal) that has a normal rubber pipe off that on top of inlet and i was gonna t into that pipe but is there a better one i cant see. thanks in advance

Any unused vac port on the IM is fine! If you have a choice of 2 or more, then use the one that's more direct i.e. one that isn't L-shaped and is also sticking out towards the windscreen (rather than on the other side towards the radiator, IYSWIM). That all said, it's a moot point.

Just be 'thankful' that you have a spare one in the 1st place!, - otherwise it's T-ing into the DV line time...

the pipe isnt L shaped,it conects to a metal pipe thats L shaped,just thought there may be a picture of newage to put my mind at rest,im a wimp when i work on my own car lol !

no probs joz,im sure it will be ok its just it would be nice to see another one and i would feel confident to fit it there.thankyou anyhow mate.

there isnt a a spare pipe on an 02 sti> its best to tee into the re-circ valve pipe work

thanks turbotits,but on my recirc dump valve (oe one)the original pipe is thicker than yours and is black,yours is blue,will i be able to just tee into my black oe one ? sorry but like to be 100 per cent.thanks again-carl.

If you look closely you will see mine is black> Rather than cut it I added an extra piece of pipe> Just felt it was a tad short to cut it.

But yea can tee straight in the black pipe

yes mate can see what you have done now,i didnt notice the black pipe at the back,nice one for all help i will fit it there i think.crl.

can tee in there also> i chose not to as thats something to do with fuel pressure and if something goes wrong there i.e. a leak or something it may muck up the fuel pressure allowing for lean running and maybe a big bang.

i did see that so glad i didnt go there,was gonna fit it tonite but too cold and been in bodyshop all day i think it can wait till weekend.
