Default Axle Stand Points on a Classic

Where are some safe axle stand points, i used the jack to raise the car and then was looking for a position to put an axle stand but couldn't find a safe position. Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Got a trolley jack?

Jack the **** end up on the diff, then mount the rear stands.

Pretty sure theres a jacking point at the rear of the engine, also. Jack it up there when the rear is raised/supported, IF I'm correct.

Jack on the rear diff to get both rear wheels off the ground, then put your axle stands on the rear diff subframe outriggers (the plate can be seen just behind your foot in pic2 )

Jack the front on the centreplate on the front subframe to get both wheels off the ground, then, as you suggest, put the stands on the caster blocks on the back of the wishbones.

And when you do this, make sure the big bolt in the middle of the plate is resting on the stand, and that any upkicks on the stand don't stick up far enough to bend the plates toward the beam. If necessary use some small blocks of wood between the stand and the bolts to prevent this happening.

Would that not be a lot of pressure on the bolts!?

Thanks

Lol, just as well that Subaru use bolts made out of steel, and not chocolate then innit?

The weight of the car pushing statically down through the bolts is a fraction of what they are designed to deal with.
