Question engine management light on?

i swapped my fuel injectors today for some uprated 550cc ones on my 2001 wrx and after doing this the engine management is on. Is it normal for this to come on afterwards? or have i disturbed something?
Thanks Carl

you will need the fueling set up for the bigger injectors via a remap i think mate

have you changed them for a reason ?

Yes mate, i'm booked in for remap next wednesday, after fitting full decat system, vf35, intercooler and fuel pump. i haven't fitted the turbo or exhaust yet and wanted to try the injectors before removing the exhaust and noticed the light was on, i was expecting the light to come on when i change the exhaust but thought it would have been ok with just the injectors?

I'm new to subaru's so don't know what to expect?

any major changes to the engine will more than likley bring on the cel... i dont think that swapping the injectors and running it for a week is a very good idea tbh

At the very least they'd need to be roughly scaled so that they'd be equivalent flow rate to the OEM ones you removed. But you need to interogate the ECU to do that.

As said, it's not wise to drive a car with non-mapped (or unscaled) injectors (even if it is to wait for the remap)...

I have no intentions of running the car till the day of the remap, i have use of another car in the meantime.I have been advised to drive it off boost till my map session. So are we saying that changing the injectors has more than likley brought on my managent light.
