wierd idle

Default wierd idle

bit bizzare when i switch off my lights car idle fine, when on it struggles to keep going, ant ideas 1993 wrx.simtec fitted which has idle issues which will be ironed out friday, but could they be another cause ?.

alternater mate, sounds like its not putting enough volts out. get a continuity tester and test at the alternater it should be putting out about 13.5 volts there on average it looses 1.5 volts on the way to the battery. hope this is of some help.

ditto , i think you can test at the battery terminals, if read ing 13.5 or more ok, less than that alternator is fubar

i have volt meter in car says 13volts could be wrong so will get checked out. cheers
