Turbo change
Just taken the VF35 off my car to put the TD04 hybrid on. Had a look at the 35 and cant find anything really wrong. Can any one advise or know where i can take it to get checked? Thanks.

What was wrong with the vf35 why you had it changed ?,also what part of the country are you in ,as people might be able to guide you to somewhere local to have it looked at.Failing that you could try uk turbo's or CR turbo engineering

universal turbo are going to check over my 2nd hand unit- they are ihi approved repairers so can obtain most parts (which are notorious to source) Most other companies won't entertain ihi VF series turbos! 01425656900

i change due to having it mapped and didnt work to well. Wasnt spooling til 4000 and runs out at 5500. So pony really.
I have also changed my mind from chasing a figure. Just going for mega spool and a good around turbo.

Something seriouly amiss if the 35 spooled at those figures! Not 'normal'. The 35 is a super-spooling turbo for a sub-350bhp one.
I wouldn't condemn the 35 (unless its knackered, obviously). If it's okay, then you must have issues elsewhere...
