Iv just purchased my first 2001 bug eye scooby after having alot of jap cars such a s13, s14a Im not that clued up on the scooby.

my car is fitted with a 6 puck ceramic paddle clutch Im concern becuase when pulling away sometimes i get a sreetch when lifting the clutch and moving off. Im still getting use to driving it with a paddle clutch so it could just be me I find you have to match the revs more to pervent judder ect.

Iv never driven a car fitted with a paddle clutch so dont know what to expect apart from I know there ment to be very on or off, the guy I brought the car off said its just vibration form the puck and nothing to worry about

 

 

is the car heavily modded?? is it a wrx or sti??
Seems a bit overkill to fit a clutch like that (btw will be quite snatchy) when an exceddy organic stage 1 clutch is usually a good replacement.

yeh as above paddle clutches are very heavy and a pain in the **** round town the above clutch i would recomend

 

Sorry guys its a wrx pushing 330bhp with sti mods uprated td05 turbo pink 550 injectors walbro 255 pump K&n panel fiter cold plugs and a remap The car was fitted with the paddle clutch when I brought it It makes a little squeal sometime If you dont get the clucth lift right. What the best way to use one ie where to put the revs when using it ect ect .

Also I has brought the engine managment light up a couple of times but goes up after you turn the car off and on a couple of times on seems to do it when U really give it beans changing near the limter in 3rd and 4th. I was told the bug eye 2001 deos this alot and note a issue to worry about ?
