Hi....I just wanted a bit of advice on this....I had my car mapped on Simtek about 6 months back....shortly after the map I had parked the car up for a while as i needed to get some work done and finally got the work done last week.. the stuff I have changed is,added a front mount, changed the intake pipe for the turbo to the bigger samco 1,got gt spec 2 headers (3bolt) and also changed the exhaust from a 3inch to a 2.5 and added a catch can...now the problem is the anti-lag is mildly switched on all the time and I am constantly burning fuel I can smell the fuel, also getting a bit of black smoke on standstill from the exhaust....I filled up last night and got 30miles for 30 quid ....just wondering if the car could be running really rich on fuel and hopefully the map will sort it out? the car booked in on thursday for the map...

 

Thats not right jay.
It should run off boost ok.
On drivers side the is a white round electrics plug it normal slots onto airbox which is now removed. Check it is not laying on the ht leads
Ecu will pick up interference through it.

Hi simon, thanks for the reply....the car seems to be running fine off boost i've been changing gears at 2500rpm...it just seems to be burning alot of fuel and just the black smoke on standstill...think my best bet would be to park it up till thursday, when you can have a look at it...just to be on the safe side...

 

I suspect it will be the wiring has moved onto the ht leads.. easy fix.. will sort and check okay on thursday before we do anything with it etc.. I usually cable tie them up out the way and reroute them etc..
