Default Defi oil temp

Hi guys is it ok to have my temp sensor as a sump bolt?
Seems strange to me but is that ok?

Yeah its okay. The bast place to put it though in above no3 cylinder, there is a bung there you unscrew and replace with the sensor, Think it gives the best and most real readings.

We had a look for the bung above No3 cylinder but couldn't see it? Its on a 2.5 block, does the bung still exist on this model?

AFAIK, yes. You have to look down in front of the turbo, the bung is a circular metal one around 25mm across with an 8mm hex hole in it. It matches the block, so isn't easy to see. You need a LONG 8mm hex key to remove it.

Aha! Perhaps if i was looking at the turbo side of the engine my search may have been more fruitful!

is there any original adapter to fit 1/8PT thread into that hole...
couple of days ago i have received Defi's but still didn't connect them...

Plenty of places sell an adaptor, mine came from Scoobymania who also sold me the Defis.
