Your MY has the OEM Subaru 4-pots which use 293/4/5/6mm discs. They're 24mm wide ventilated ones.

Have you thought about upgrading to a set of grooved ones to help with gas dissipation to alleviate brake fade. If so, get 4, 6, 8 or 10 grooves per side (otherwise, if you get 20 or 40 groove ones, then you significantly reduce disc-pad friction surface area)...

4-pot calipers/295mm discs were fitted to all Classics from Sep 98 i.e. for MY99 and MY00

They were also fitted to JDM STi's from Sep 96 (MY97 v.3>on)

Post a close up pic of your calipers - then we'll be able see what're fitted and tell you the correct size brake discs...

Is it an Import? (be it jap or EU) DVLA information is usually wrong on Imports and this is what car parts places use when they tap the plate in.. ie they may well have subaru impreza GL on the DVLA information and the supplier would have done it based on this.

If it's a UK car then the parts places usually get it right, so it's either an import or the car parts bloke is a div.

Interesting. I assumed JDM WRX's would have come in line and had the 4-pots too (seeing as the UK Turbo 2000 got them for MY99/00).

Another weird Subaru anomoly!
