prodrive ecu sti 2002

Is your car a wrx or a std sti,if it is a wrx better off with a std remap of your own ecu rather than buy the prodrive one, then have to have that mapped imho,as the td04 fitted to your car wont gain anything as the prodrive ecu is for a bigger turbo.
If your car is an sti then the prodrive ecu will only give you 30+ bhp,so might as well have it remapped and gain alot more.

The PPP is a generic remap so does not take into account tolerences in the engine build, in my opinion that is why there have been a number of engines with the PPP setup gone bang and why I went for a GEMS ECU 5 years ago, prior to the full benefits of the Ecuteck being found. Get your original ECU re-mapped to your car. The open source mapping is improving day to day but the Ecuteck although initially more expensive is tried and tested with a godd backup.

Could you explain this statment?? i have a o2 sti ppp and the prodrive generic maps fueling is a little on the rich side with the boost nowere near over working the vf35!! cars that have had mods without remapping maybe?? wrx's due to no vvt ect..maybe?? ect... ect.. poor maintanance maybe??? if you are saying that the ppp maps are responsible for engines going bang i cant see that myself although the same map mass produced the ppp like any pro/live map will have been setup within tolerances for the set up it was intended for!!
