BEST PANEL FILTER FOR MY 06 STI
#3
What about the TSL Group N Green/Blue filter?
I was in the same situation last week, and wanted only the best, the Cosworth one was sounding good but it is so cheap I decided against it, so I went for the most expensive I could find which was the Group N.
Later reading there is little if any difference between the Green filter and the Blue group N filter

Harvey did some testing a couple of years back over a couple of days, doing several runs for each of the most popular filters. If I recall his conclusions correctly there was very little to choose between any of them with a ±2bhp spread. Foam filters were the worst for filtration, with wire/cotton gauze items from the likes of K&N and Green doing better. Surprisingly however, the filter which seemed best for power (even though all were negligible) and filtration was the OE paper filter. The STi item didn't do very well and was also criticised for its need for service replacement over the lifetime use of the other premium filters. In short, the £10 OE jobby is as good if not better, but if you plan to keep the car beyond four normal services then there is a financial justification in buying a premium cotton/wire gauze item. His findings were similar to a test done by Scoobymag at about the same time.
