Default ultrasonic alarm

hi all just been looking though my book and it said how to engage ultrasonic alarm can anyone tell me what the hell that is, its the standard subaru alarm / imob and secondly i have a key pad under my stering colume and i have no code but it seems lifeless can any one help please

Ultrasonic i think is on the Pillars of your car inside. Motion Sensors! Don't worry about the keypad. Thats really only if you lose your keyfob. You can overide it with the code that coame with the car!

its an 02 bugeye mate. so its the interior protection on the pillers that look like tiny speakers. i never got the code when i got the car and i only got one fob so i was hoping to find the code but like i said it looks like there is no power going in to it, no lights no feeling under the buttons nothing. im sorry if i sound a bit vage but i know nothing about alarms.

The easiest way to find out if they are working is to leave your drivers window a bit open ,then arm your car.After 60 secs,wave your arm inside the car ,the alarm should sound,as the ultrasonics have picked up the air movement..You can switch them off momentarily(pets/kids ) in the car ,and they revert back to normal the next time the car is alarmed.
