Default Need more power!!

Newbie here

Current spec:

HYDRA ECU

Full 3inch system and upipe

external waste gate and screamer pipe

Decent plugs


Running standard Turbo and injectors currently


Ideally wanting 400bhp, can do all the work myself, am i right thinking some 650cc injectors, 20g turbo, inlet pipe and a remap should see me closer to 400?

Ok

Yeah they would see you much closer, may need a slightly better turbo for 400 though? Theres some interesting ones being tested on the "trader announcement" forum on here (at scoobyclinic) They are priced very well and will make more consistant figures than 20g's, as 20g's are renowned for being a bit hit and miss!

Also its good to do the work yourself but you wont be able to drive the car with new turbo and injrctors finished! Not even off boost! So the mapper will have to come to you.

20g will be hit & miss if you buy cheap chinese makes.

Was told cheap chinese ones will just be a "miss" simple as!! The good ones are still inconsistent though??

If you get them from AndyF they are pretty consistent, used to have one fitted to my car.

Ill put a wanted ad up for an internal wastegate decent larger turbo

Some 650s

Who do you recommend to map local?

you would be more than safe with 550's on a 20G

Slightly off topic here....

The car at the minite feels pretty quick (faster than both previous EVOs, 5 and 7)

Boost comes in hard and quite early, around 3k but theres a fair old missfire from 5k up ??? Obviously i havnt tried revving through it but somethings not right

Also on idle when it gets hot (fan comes in) it starts hunting quite bad??
