Default Dodgy Speedo

the speedo on my import seems to have developed a fault.

After I get above xx speed it drops back to zero ??

I had a similar thing on my UK model too.

Is this a common fault on classics? is there an easy fix ?

Would help if we knew what age your car was. The nature of the issue (and fix) on an earlier mechanical speedo is completely different to the later electronic ones.

After I get to about a ton the speedo drops to 0 and stays there.
Once I drop below this speed the speedo kicks in back again.

Car is 97 Wrx sti with Apexi ecu. Its only been doing it the last couple of months.

Cheers Shaun

could be that the convertor has come loose from the back of the speedo, this some times happens on mine, you can just about fit ur hand up to the back of the speedo and push it flush
