Default V Power v Tesco 99

i have only used V Power but can't get it now
how good is tesco 99?
will it be OK till V Power is back (if it dose)
or would 95 plus octane booster be better?

Thanks

It's been proved that the Tesco 99 stuff is equally as good if not better than Shell V-Power. Independant reviews have been run anbd posted to confirm as such - search on goodle and you'll find your answer there.

tesco99 is also tested to higher standards then v power, if v-power tanks aren't emptied every 2 weeks it goes stale.

Are you actually basing that on knock levels/IAM/Ignition advance etc from a data monitor or just "feeling"?

As has been said V-Power's also 99 - and while Tesco's good, I can invariably get a little more timing out of V-Power prior to the onset of tinkling than I can with the Greenergy/Tesco stuff.

simon at JGM did state recently that Vpower is better fuel, there both 99 octane but vpower is slightly better. I used to use tesco before i bought the scoob on my S3 and integra i occasionaly use it on the smart roadster but with vpower you get lots of free fuel i got 8.50$ the other day through the post

my car was mapped for v-power but I have always used tesco except on the odd long run then v-power at service stations.

I always said i could never tell the difference. However I filled up with v-power last week and to be honest the car feels smoother and its a little more responsive.
Not sure if its the fuel that made it feel that way or not but strange coincidence if its not!!!

Interesting - I've been using V-power all the time until they ran out, and i'm halfway through the 1st tank of Tesco 99 and its a little less responsive and a little less smooth than it was on the v-power. As Splitpin says this is all bum-dyno though, I've no real evidence either way, just feels different

Tesco 99 as less energy( calories) than v power has it use a 10% mix of bio ethonal to bump up the octane. You need to burn more to achive the same result.
