Default engine management light

I hope someone here can assist me with this because i am really bored with my car now.
For about two years now, the engine management light has kept coming on. It has been back to the dealers a number of times, independent workshops a number of times and it is still on. I have been told that it could be the injectors, so i have run some cleaner through the system, someone told me that there was a lead arching on the chassis, so they supposedly re wired that. It has cost a fair few pounds now and still the same.
I feel that the car is very sluggish when pulling away and i have to give it plenty of revs, it always feels like it will stall and is lumpy on tickover and i think ticks over too slow. Now the engine management light flashes.

I have had enough now. Any ideas please.

Sorry about that. The car is a 2002 WRX STI type UK with 90000 on the clock. Everything on it is standard.

What is the specific SSM or OBDII error code the car is giving you when diagnosed?

Hi there. I don't know what the code is and i am fed up with taking it back again to the dealers. I will try to find out at the next service.

There seems to be no set time before it comes on. This time it was serviced 3000miles ago and has just come on again. sometimes it goes off as strangely as it came on, but at the moment i have had a couple of times where it flashes about five times and then stays on.

My 2002 STI sometimes does this, its normally if I have run the car low on fuel or if I can't get high octane fuel.

I have never checked the error code and I am not sure if this is normal or not!?
