Default De-cating exhaust

i am soon to be de-cating my exhaust, not the down pipe one but the second 1 , can any one tell me what i do with the sensor that fits in the top please. bugeye 2002 sti

i replaced mine a few months ago befor getting my downpipe, there should b a bung in ur new pipe for it...???

does that mean i just screw the sensor back in the new cat-less pipe ?

Hmmm, new age STI's can be a little funny about taking one or both of the cats out, I would suggest a remap really but if not then something like a KS3 or knocklink to check for det (all 3 are somewhat cheaper than a full engine rebuild )

i am fitting this just prior to a re-map, but just needed to know what to do with the sensor ?

yea u put it in the new pipe, the engine light may *** on after a little wile but a remap will sort it, http://www.racedynamix.com/new/ done mine yesterday and its a new car!!! highly recomended!!!!!!

so it made a big difference on your car then ? what did you fit prior to your re-map ? and how much more bhp / driveability have you got ?

yes - there should be a hole for it to go back into on the new exhaust section.

The CEL will come on - probably within a couple of days but easily got rid of on the 25th
