Legacy not boosting properly.. Temperature stays cold most of the time... Help please
Hi everyone, i own a Subaru Legacy 1992, its a lot older than what most of you members here have but im sure the engines are quite similar (EJ20T) with the single turbo so i thought i would ask anyways.
My subaru hasnt been boosting properly for a while now, Took it to a mechanic and they checked engine codes and spark plugs etc. and they found nothing. My car doesnt hit boost over around 7psi and seems to be running quite "flat" as if you cant feel any boost at all. Although there is the very odd occassion where it runs okay.
My legacy also seems to run cold and doesnt warm up properly so my guess is that its the thermostat is stuck open. Would this cause my car to stop from boosting properly? Also could anyone point me to a website/thread on how to change the thermostat?
Thanks everyone and i would appreciate it if you could please post up your thoughts, comments and suggestions
Thank you
