A 16G or a 18G would be nice.

If you're going to buy a 16G and need a remap anyway, may as well pay a smidge extra and get an 18G and enjoy the extra power Better yet, one of the slightly modified 18Gs, like the one Harvey Smith does

I'd say TD, rather then VF, as found VF very fragile. Depending what you want from your car, I down graded to a TD04 hybrid and very very pleased. mega spool, plus a very quick car now, I went for accelleration, I was trying to chase numbers for the wrong reason.

i was looking for 350bhp mark, i dont want to push the engine to hard as its still running standard internals.and its not a sti. would a 16g-or 18g not be to much for it i want a fast spool turbo as were i live its all stop and start.so 350bhp but quickest spool time. i currently run simtek in my car so i no with a tdo5 i could get anti lag fitted as sounds better than vf35

350 brake is pushing the internals on a standard car IMO, also the gearbox and clutch! STI internals would be OK

A good VF 35 is a great turbo for a Car aiming for the 330ish mark. Great spool and boost threshold and can be had cheap as chips!

When you start talking TD-18G series, if you have a 5 speed gearbox, your transmission will likely be on borrowed time!

For the OP, there is the difference! Buy a 35, or buy an 18G and a gearbox/diff/clutch. The choice as they say, is yours!

Good post NS04.

Depending on the year of your car front entry fitting etc go with either the 16 or 35.

personaly i'd not bother with a td turbo, the results are just too unreliable from turbo to turbo. at least with a vf35 you know your gonna get 330.

other option is a vf34, tis more expensive than the other two but prob gives betst results of them
