Default Prodrive Sportscat Question

Got a prodrive sportscat downpipe waiting to go on the car (bugeye), got a decat 2nd pipe today through the post. The 2nd decat has a cone type gasket on the end where it connects up to the downpipe.

Had a quick go at putting them together tonight and can see that there is no way on earth they are going to fit together (Im assuming the two flanges have to be tight to each other and not seperated by the gasket which is pretty thick,at least an inch).

Only way I can see to get them together is to remove the cone gasket and grind off the protruding pipe after the flange on the decat pipe and then use a 2.5" exhaust gasket instead

As anyone else had a similar problem when using the prodrive sportscat?

Cheers

Chris

Have you got it the right way around. The cone gasket should join the centre pipe and the bolts should have springs in them. This allows some movement in the exhaust to compensate for engine movement. It does fit, trust me, I've just taken one off

I've just bought the same thing for my Bugeye. Waiting for it to arrive this week all being well

Glad you asked that question, Cheer's Bud Let us know if sounds any different.

I've already got the 2nd decat pipe and Non Res centre section with Ninja back Box. Hoping it sounds alittle meaty Need to get it Remapped/altered first tho. Heard on Bug's it's not good for em till the Remap or Altered. Something about a mapper can change afew things to make it safe instead of full re-map. Cheaper

Will do mate, not going on the car for a while yet needs the dp heat wrapping first. Was just assembling it off the car to make sure it all fits together.
