Located around the passenger seat and connected to the same loom that is used for the electric windows on a MY93 WRX. I cant seem to find it on any wiring diagrams?

Is it an important little bugger?

Just guessing:

Electric seat heat ?

Electric seat adjustment?


Was it connected on both ends? It could just be a "ready for optional extras" connection thingy :-)

 

Just to clarify im on about the round black thing that has a connector on it.... looks like some sensor? Like I said its in the loom that controls all the elec windows and mirrors.

As the car is being stripped thoes electrics wont be needed but im just not sure wat this thing is lol. It only has two wires coming out of it and is bolted to that metal plate. The face that mates to the plate is orange and smooth?

Is it to do with the pre tensioner for the seatbelt and airbag. only a guess mate, but know doubt some clever bugger will be along to tell ye what it is......

 

cheers for the ideas guys.... but its an MY93 no abs, no airbags, no pre-tensioners, no heated seats, no electric seats... so cant be to do with that stuff.

Because its in the windows loom im thinking maybe a load sensor that cuts the power to the windows when they jam/ close on something/ reach the end of their travel?

i would of thought it would be a seat belt light indicator, can't see for any reason why it would be in with the window loom, how many wire's in the loom, do they go to windows or just a +ve and -va source.............and what does the other side look like
