Now a proud owner of a silver 'un, I have found a slight oil leak from the off-side rocker cover. I took it to bits, cleaned the gasket (which seemed in good nick) and put it back on using a touch of silicone sealent, but the leak is still there!!! Do you think I should obtain a new gasket and use something other than silicone sealant? Also does anyone know what the torque setting is for the rocker cover bolts??

yes it will only be about £25 if you get all 3 from that side .
you should also remove and refit the half moon seals use an instent gasket not silicon.

Mine was leaking on my 94WRX. Some one had played around with it before using lots of sealant and it was still leaking. Replaced it and it is now fine. This is what I would do if I was you
Hope this helps
