Whats it worth ??? My 99 Impreza Turbo 59k miles
Thinking of buying a 2002 - 2004 impreza and just wondered what price you think id get for My99 uk impreza turbo with 59k miles, All old mot certificates to prove milage, Part service history, just changed oil to millers finest 10w 50 oil, fitted subaru filters, cam belts and full service at 57k
6 months tax n test left,
Full crystal clear front lights, New radiator, 18" Mille Miglia alloys, Sti carbon fibre strut brace, lower h frame front strut brace, rear strut brace, turbo chimney, dump valve (standard one too) standard air box now fitted with new air flow meter (maf) runs spot on & pulls strong, wheels could do with painting as theyve got kerb marks,
Heres a few pics

If I were you I'd test drive a newage WRX before buying if that's what you're thinking of. They're a fair bit heavier, and better insulated than the classics and so you need a fair bit more power (and braking performance) to get the same sort of driving experience.
You've got a tidy low mileage late classic there, seems a bit pointless getting rid so quickly, although the flipside is that you shouldn't be short of potential buyers.

Ye test drive would be a must, just testing the water a bit see what sort of money id get if i decided to part with it,
Not sure id like them if theyre not as much fun to drive as the classic, tbh im toying with the idea of either upgrading ecu to simtek and upping the bhp to 270/280 or sell and buy a newer one, only other option is to keep the classic as a weekend toy and buy a banger for work !!!

You don't need a Simtek to get to 270-280, you can do that perfectly fine with the standard one plus a TeK map - and in the process you keep all of the standard ECU's drivability, emissions compliance and so-forth.
Buying a newer one in the search for more power's a bit illogical, as you still need to remap them and, as above, they feel slower, given a fixed level of go, than a classic. Fun to drive is a very personal thing but I think most would concur with a suggestion that the newage cars are less "direct", spec for spec.
As for the sort of money you'd get to it, surely you know better than most as you've only just bought it.

EcuTek remap, costs about 600-650 quid, several mappers can do it, JGM, Andy F, Bob Rawle, Richard Bulmer etc, a full decat will give you more power, they will probably say replace the fuel pump, not 100% necessary but if your car is a higher mileage model then its probably worth it as they do become tired

As has been said above ,looks like a nice tidy motor you have there, cant see the point in selling it personally. Fit a decent panel filter (k&n,green, etc),get a decat, and a remap can see you up to 280 bhp.If your interested this might be worth checking out:
https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...group-buy.html
Failing a remap if you want more power and not sacrifice your fuel economy, you might consider a prodrive ecu, which on your model year is a straight plug & go option. With a few supporting mods ,this can see you up to about 240bhp+
http://www.prodrive.com/up/99MY%20Impreza%20PPP.pdf
If you check out on here or pistonheads ,ebay, etc they normally sell between £200 -£400,and are a good compromise if you do not want a major power upgrade.
Regarding what your cars worth - i have been looking at subaru's for the last couple of weeks ,and with the mileage and looking at your cars condition would imagine between £3500 -4k.

Thanks for the info guys, another couple of questions ;-)
Which decats are good ens, seen loads on ebay but mainly no namers & as for the remap do they use the standard subaru ecu or replace for a different one. cheers again
Also my car was for sale for £3495 but after much moaning n barterin i ended up paying £2500 so was well pleased, ive decided to keep it and spend some £££ on it to up the power, gunna give it a full paint in a few months as its got a few marks here and there, ill start a new thread when i start to prep it for paint
Heres a few pics of my Escort Rs2000 van i did last year

Regarding downpipes Haywood & scott, janspeed, afterburner are a few of the more popular makes, make sure you go for one that has a bellmouth design(turbo end has no blank off area)as these will allow better gas flow.
Remap - uses your existing subaru ecu
£2500 -he must have been desperate for the cash lol - bargain.

6 months tax n test left,
Full crystal clear front lights, New radiator, 18" Mille Miglia alloys, Sti carbon fibre strut brace, lower h frame front strut brace, rear strut brace, turbo chimney, dump valve (standard one too) standard air box now fitted with new air flow meter (maf) runs spot on & pulls strong, wheels could do with painting as theyve got kerb marks,
