is this possible to swap my remapped ecu from my 1999 ecutek to my standard 2001 wrx. also wondering if i couls swap the full decated exhaust from my 1999 to my 2001 wrx

 

Erm........i could be wrong but i dont think you can!!!

 

AFAIK - No you cant just swap the Ecu. Although both are EcuTek, they are different beasts altogether. Aside from that, you would have to reprogram for the alarm and immobiliser fob.

Not sure on the downpipe either mate. I think the newages have an additional cat just after a short dowpipe. As opposed to the classic which has the downpipe cat then a long tail toward the centre section.

Im sure that people that have done or tried these things will be on to give you their opinion.

 

The ECU in the '99 car is made by Unisia JECS and the 2001 will be a Denso. EcuTek did not make either. The two are very different ECU's.
