Default UK MY98 brake size query...

yo, my brakes are a tad worn out and i reckon its time to move up to some grooved discs and sporty pads but im worried about buying the wrong size.

the owner and service manual both give no information about brake sizes, does anyone know the exact sizes?

the car is a 98 UK turbo 2000 with vented front discs and solid rear discs. i think it has the 277mm x 24mm vented on the front, and 266mm x 10mm rear solid discs. these are both options when buying the discs i want so if anyone could confirm this thatd be great.

many thanks

Well its a good time to upgrade your brakes (calipers and discs), yes it will cost a little more but you will notice the difference as the 2 pots really are bad
The 4 pots are a good upgrade for not alot of cash

What Tony said: have a look for some 4-pots off a later car, bigger discs too. They DO fit under 16" wheels.

yeah i would love to upgrade to the 4-pot cals, and vented discs on the back from a 2k spec would be awesome... might be too big a step for now though, ive got barely any back brakes at all and MOT coming up...

so does no1 know the disc sizes for the 98 year???

fingers crossed, cheers
