hi im pretty new to driving a scooby and have owned this one for about 3 months now the problem i have is sometimes when driving i put my foot down and its seems to cut the engine out for a brief period but when travelling on the motorway its like all of a sudden you are going backwards please can any one help!!!!!!

Yes, the 218PS (215bhp) Turbo 2000 AWD (UK car normally) is the MY99/00 "Phase 2" variant i.e. from c.Sep 98 to Aug 00.

The MY94-96 "Phase 1" and MY97/98 "Phase 1.5" cars were 211PS (208bhp).

 

Does the cut happen abruptly, like hitting the w/screen?
