If it's otherwise totally std, then you should see the existing OEM recirc DV fitted between a short length of hose coming off an inverted "L"-shaped plastic pipe attached to the turbo-to-IC hose, and the recirc port of the resonator box-to-turbo intake hose.
You simply remove the OEM DV, and fit the VTA one to the IC side. You then need to bung the recirc port on the turbo intake hose with something suitable - a big, short bolt (with a jubilee clip to aid holding it in place, if not held in tight enough). Or you can get a proper machined ally bung from Forge or eBay, etc...

Thanks Matey... much appreciated . I had one on my 98 Terzo but somehow the MY96 has me completely confused.
I'll have a look tomorrow, don't suppose you have any pics of one in place? Will give me a much better chance of getting it right
Guessing I need a bit of small bore vacume hose too which fits to?......

Yes, forgot to mention about the vac hose for the nipple at the top of the DV. It goes to a spare nipple on the inlet manifold...

Still havent got round to fixing this yet. I dont have a blanking plug
Does anyone know what plug i need? also where does that small pipe from the top of the DV go?
Sorry if I appear thick, but don't want to screw this up

You can get blanking plugs off eBay. Or Forge might do one at the correct diameter... Measure the inside diameter of the recirc port on the turbo intake hose. Or you can simply wedge a suitable sized bolt in there (perhaps held further in place with a nylon tie or jubilee clip) - it only needs to be airtight and not fall out.
The vac nipple on the top of the DV joins to a spare nipple on the inlet manifold via std 4mm dia. vac hose. If there's no spare nipple, then if you have a boost gauge, just T into the boost gauge's vac line for the DV...
