Hi,
I have recently had some gauges connected and the oil pressure keeps fluctuation all over the place (even with the engine off.
I am pretty sure that the sender is knackered!! can anyone recommend a decent quality replacement sender unit?
Cheers,
Lee

How, and where, is the sender connected to the engine?
You don't say if it's an electrical or a piped gauge?
If it's electrical, check the connections to the sender, wherever it connects to any loom supplied with it, and the connections at the gauge.
Check that the sender is earthing properly: some people use a lot of PTFE tape to seal it to the block, which can result in earthing issues. If in doubt, run a lead from sender body direct to car battery -ve, and see if that has any effect.

Hi,
Its an electrical sensor thats connected via a hose extension with a t-splitter keeping the standard sensor connected aswell.
I have checked the connections on it and they are pretty much perfect the earth is going directly to the engine from the sensor eliminating the PTFE issue (i think).
Any help would be good..
Cheers,
Lee
